PEER MENTOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

Parent Support Network has created a new peer mentor certification training for family leaders interested in increasing their skills to provide intensive family support, education to caregivers of children and youth at risk for or who have serious emotional, behavioral and/or mental health challenges. This training series (24 hours for certification) provides an opportunity to learn more about:

• Providing emotional & peer support
• Identifying strengths and needs
• Safety and crisis planning
• Intensive family support and education
• Navigating the interacting child and family service systems
• Identifying and building community and natural supports
• Family satisfaction and child and family outcomes
